CAMPUS LIFE HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY DIRECTOR / COORDINATOR Join to apply for the CAMPUS LIFE HIGH SCHOOL MINISTRY DIRECTOR / COORDINATOR role at Youth For Christ USA Inc. Position Purpose: Direct ministry in the local high school by fostering five essentials: Widespread Prayer, Loving Relationships, Faithful Bible Teaching, Collaborative Community Strategy, and Adults Who Empower. The role focuses on engaging with Christians to intercede for the ministry site and moving relationships forward with high school students through a structured relational ministry approach.
Responsibilities
Lead Campus Life ministry with seven relational actions to engage high schoolers and build lifelong relationships with Jesus: Appointments, Building Times, Contacting, Clubs, Small Groups, Student Leadership, and Summer Youth Camps.
Accurately handle Biblical truth and coach students to apply it in daily life; prepare and present relevant teaching.
Collaborate with local churches, agencies, and partners to provide sustainable youth and family ministry.
Develop leaders to reach diverse youth; build and lead teams of Christian adults and students invested in the relational ministry process.
Essential Job Functions and Duties
Camp: Residential and Wilderness Camping Ministry – plan and participate in three weeks of summer camps at Prairie River Camp (www.prairierivercamp.org).
Office Work Daily: check email, respond to calls, plan schedule.
Weekly: gather new student information, plan High School Ministry, meet with Ministry Director.
Monthly: prepare ministry reports, issue monthly receipt letters and support letters.
Quarterly: provide newsletter information.
Supervision: participate in weekly YFC online reporting, maintain supervisor contact, attend ministry staff meetings, yearly evaluations.
Funding Responsibilities: participate in community fundraising events where appropriate; manage budget and write periodic support letters.
Training: attend training events when possible.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Administrative abilities; high level of spiritual and emotional maturity.
Passion for evangelism and discipleship of urban youth.
Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage and minister to people; work in the YFC culture; lead and motivate others.
Experience with computer hardware and general office equipment; self-starter; ability to prioritize by integrity and values.
Teachable and able to take input from supervisors and peers; ability to learn mission and relationship-based fundraising techniques.
Credentials and Education 2+ years of relevant experience preferred.
Fundraising Responsibilities All YFC employees are encouraged to participate in stewardship activities, including fundraising events, donor contacts, and related outreach towards sustaining ministry.
On the Job Training As directed by Supervisor.
