Mazzella Companies Overview Mazzella is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Crane Service Sales Specialist to provide technical sales and support related to overhead crane service and inspections within a defined region. The specialist will generate new and/or increase existing service sales and inspection opportunities by developing and executing a professional, localized sales plan to exceed team goals. This role involves working closely with local service branches and Account Managers to foster open communication through various contact methods, including visits, meetings, phone calls, and digital channels. Responsibilities Be the Mazzella overhead crane service department’s “Subject Matter Expert” for service and inspection related sales and marketing efforts in your geographic area. Promote Mazzella crane service and inspection offerings and products within an assigned territory using a consultative sales approach, including field visits and on-site support; recommend product and service enhancements that increase sales and margins. Understand the local customer base and seek opportunities to expand existing business and create, execute a strategy to gain market share of new customers through inspection-related offerings with the Lifting Specialists. Mentor Account Managers to deepen understanding of Crane Service’s technical sales process, customers, and markets. Utilize the company CRM to maintain call records, gather business intelligence, and support increased product sales goals. Plan, organize, and coordinate with management to qualify leads, opportunities, or contracts; provide timely follow-up and information gathering for all provided and self-generated leads. Assist in following up on active repair quotes and document progress. Partner with Segment Managers and vertical experts to develop, monitor, and achieve segment/vertical targets; identify customer issues and address opportunities or threats in collaboration with management. Create local communication protocols to meet customer requirements from production to maintenance with an industry expert perspective, in a responsive manner. Prepare, tailor, support, and present professional proposals to solve challenges and aid in closing business. Maintain a clean and organized work area, equipment, and tools; follow all safety guidelines. Other duties as assigned. Education A high school diploma or GED is required; an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline is preferred. In the absence of a degree, directly related job experience serving in an industrial sales role may offset the degree requirement. Experience & Skills 5 years in a sales or service role or equivalent military experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Willingness to stay educated in the crane industry; as cranes become increasingly sophisticated, computer literacy and technological savviness are important. Detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task. Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills. Written and verbal communication skills; excellent math and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office). Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and E-verify.
