The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, efficiently follows all company best practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may perform a range of functions in all areas of the Store as business needs require and may be assigned additional tasks to help achieve Customer service and operational goals. Responsibilities

Maintain safety as the number one priority and practice safe behaviors. Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe, secure shopping environment; keep egress clear and report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership. Greet Customers, assist with merchandise, answer questions in a polite and knowledgeable manner, and process transactions accurately at the register. Provide prompt and courteous Customer service; respond to Service calls and involve Store Leadership when needed. Represent and support the Company brand at all times. Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing high-touch areas) and replenish restroom supplies to maintain a clean store and work areas. Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the Company dress code. Execute daily sizing and recovery to keep the store neat, clean, and merchandised to standards. Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandise items according to monthly presentation guidelines. Understand Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards. Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise; follow MOS policies for identification, processing, and disposal of MOS items. Follow policies and procedures for cash, check, charge card, refunds, voids, and offline transactions; maintain accuracy with tender handling. Demonstrate urgency and maximize productivity by adhering to Store best practices. Competencies

Effective communication with Customers, Associates and Store Leadership in a friendly, respectful manner. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail environments. Physical Requirements / ADA

Ability to use store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required. Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of working time. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; regularly push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds; use janitorial equipment and ladders as needed. Specific assignments may require additional qualifications and skills. Supervisory Responsibilities
