General Purpose The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows company best practices, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate may perform a range of tasks in all areas of the Store as business needs require and may be assigned additional tasks to achieve customer service and operational goals.
Essential Functions
Safety is the number one priority; practice safe behaviors at all times.
Maintain a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe shopping environment; keep egress clear and report unsafe conditions to Store Leadership.
Treat Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; recognize fellow Associates using Company recognition programs.
Assist Customers as needed — register-trained, assist with merchandise, and answer questions politely and knowledgeably. Greet Customers with eye contact, smiles, and greetings; say thank you at each register transaction.
Provide prompt responses to Customer inquiries and service calls; resolve issues courteously and involve Store Leadership when needed.
Represent and support the Company brand at all times.
Perform cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces) and replenish restrooms to maintain merchandise, customer, and Team areas.
Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the dress code.
Perform daily sizing and recovery to ensure a neat, clean, and organized store ready for customers.
Expedite newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandise items per monthly guidelines; maintain familiarity with in-department brands to assist Customers.
Understand Loss Prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.
Demonstrate integrity and safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
Follow MOS policies and process disposals after review with Store Leadership.
Adhere to all cash, check, card, refunds, void, and offline transaction policies; maintain accuracy with tender handling.
Work with a sense of urgency to maximize productivity and align with Store best practices.

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail environments.
Physical Requirements/Ada
Ability to use store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC as required.
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of working time.
Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and stoop; lift and carry up to 25 pounds; push/pull as needed.
Ability to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
Stockroom shifts may require lifting up to 20 pounds regularly.
