Account Manager (A&D Trade/Luxury Carpet Sales Professional) – New York City Showroom STARK is seeking an experienced Luxury Carpet Sales Professional with a proven track-record selling to the trades (Interior Designers, Architectural Firms). This role is with STARK and is based in New York City. Base pay range is $90,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr. Base pay is commensurate with experience and eligible for additional sales commission and/or sales incentive bonus. At this time, STARK is specifically looking for candidates who have experience in selling luxury carpet & rugs directly to the interior design trade. Note: We are not engaging with third-party or agency recruiters for this position. Only individual applicants should apply directly. Responsibilities

Advise clients on product attributes and qualities related to their needs through networking, market observation, and personal judgment. Identify potential clients and create strategic client-centric marketing plans (visit targets, cadence, and outreach). Cold call potential clients, using customized sales and marketing scripts; create pre- and post-client visit reports; assess purchasing potential and report analysis to senior management. Collaborate on developing the company’s core messaging to clients. Develop event strategy and lead organization of events for specific clients, with discretion over budgets and invitees. Prepare sales documents to initiate and close sales; collaborate on installation layout considerations from a design perspective. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned. Qualifications

Strong existing relationships with interior design clientele. Interest in the interior design trade with strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Advanced knowledge of carpet qualities, attributes, and manufacturing techniques (preferred). B.A./B.S. in Interior Design or related field preferred, with a minimum of 2 years carpet sales to the trade experience; or a minimum of 5 years carpet sales to the trade experience in lieu of the degree.
