The Dow Jones Professional Information Business Sales team is looking for a New Business Sales Executive to join Direct Sales. The NBSE will drive new business for Dow Jones products through prospecting, cold-calling and client-calls, nurture leads, and manage the full sales cycle with potential collaboration from outside sales specialists as needed. The NBSE will develop campaigns to contact prospects via telephone, email and social media, identify client needs, and deliver an initial value proposition to generate interest. The NBSE will maintain accurate records in the CRM and develop product knowledge to align with outside sales collaboration. You Will

MEET NEW BUSINESS TARGETS: Generate new streams of Dow Jones revenue through sales to new-to-company prospects that address their business needs. IDENTIFY PROSPECTS: Conduct market analysis to identify good potential new-to-company target organizations and the specific roles to prospect. PROSPECT: Proactively contact targets, quickly qualify genuine opportunities, and move them to the next stage or discontinue when no worthwhile opportunity exists. ANALYZE OPPORTUNITIES: Understand business issues affecting targeted sectors or prospects and base communications on this knowledge. PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: Clearly express the value proposition and align solutions with client business needs. FORECAST: Manage sales forecast and pipeline with accurate activity and opportunity status. TRACK ACTIVITY AND SUCCESS: Demonstrate a track record in new business development requiring cold calling. MANAGE PROSPECT/CLIENT INFORMATION: Keep clear CRM records to show deal history and steps to closure. COLLABORATION: Align with outside sales specialists for best practices when needed. Qualifications / You Have

Confident in cold calling with an understanding of optimal contact times. Strong results orientation and drive to achieve goals in a competitive environment. Passionate about closing business with the ability to work independently when required. Good communication skills (listening, questioning, written and verbal) to articulate value and present a persuasive business case. Excellent telephone skills and ability to build rapport and relationships over the phone. High business awareness to build credibility with prospects and articulate Dow Jones benefits in the appropriate context. Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to address objections and move opportunities to closure. A proven track record in new business development with cold calling, including experience with Fortune 1000 companies. Experience selling subscription-based products (business information and research) is a plus. Benefits
