Lakeview Village, Inc. The Lakeview Village sales team is growing! We are currently hiring for a full-time independent living LifeCare Sales Counselor. Lakeview Village in Lenexa, Kansas is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, which offers independent living, long-term care, assisted living, sub-acute rehabilitation and home health services. The LifeCare Sales Counselor represents Lakeview Village’s Independent Living to prospective residents, their families and advisors, and the community at large. This internal sales position requires well-developed sales and presentation skills, a sincere interest in older adults’ lives, the ability to have complex financials discussions and a proven commitment to customer service. The LifeCare Sales Counselor effectively communicates the holistic benefits of our senior living community, as well as the financial benefits of the Lakeview LifeCare program. Lakeview Village has been a locally owned, nonprofit leader for over 60 years. We were founded by five ministers, and we continue to serve people of all faiths. We are an equal employment opportunity employer. 401(k) matching Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Duties and Responsibilities: This internal sales position for Independent Living cultivates meaningful relationships with prospective residents, their families and/or advisors through meetings, tours and presentations. Builds relationships by educating and communicating with compassion, professionalism, and superior customer service. Participates in in-depth financial discussions and communicates the Lakeview Lifecare program and other contract options for prospective residents. Closes the required number of monthly sales, meets individual activity goals, completes paperwork accurately, and assists in the approval process. Continuously gains knowledge about the range of services and amenities that Lakeview offers. Participates in marketing events such as education and social events for prospective residents. Works closely with the Sales & Marketing team and related staff to meet annual and monthly Independent Living goals. Participates in sales training and continuing education activities. Maintains after-hours and on-call response/availability as assigned. Remains free of the influence of alcohol and/or illegal drugs per the Drug and Alcohol policy (Section A-2 of the employee handbook) during assigned on-call periods. Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, other departments within the facility, and off-campus contacts to ensure that departmental programs can properly be maintained to meet the needs of the facility and residents. Collaborates with related Lakeview Departments to facilitate move-ins. Communicates with prospective residents, their families and/or advisors through various sources including in person, phone calls, emails, text, virtual communication and home visits. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Handles stress well, gets along with others in the workplace, maintains acceptable standards of conduct. Manage leads in a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program. Generates referrals to help meet independent living occupancy goals. Uses personal form of transportation for campus wide tours. Qualifications: Must have a four-year degree, or at least three years of relevant sales or marketing experience. Must possess excellent telephone skills Must possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software. Must possess a good working knowledge of database lead management software. Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and a good driving record. Ability to understand mathematical and financial calculations required in resident agreements. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks appropriately, and exercise sound judgement where procedures cannot be standardized. Demonstrates good communications skills, including but not limited to effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with a fluent understanding of English. Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed. Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly. Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff and others. Seniority level
