Overview
The Sales Manager – Helicopter Systems (North America) supports the sales and marketing efforts through leading, sourcing, obtaining and developing of business, sales of products and services, and special projects. The successful candidate should ideally be familiar with the North American market aviation sector in particular helicopter. The Sales Manager will have responsibility for achieving the sales targets established by Safran Aerosystems Services for their assigned region and/or customer base. The position will assist Safran Aerosystems Services Marketing team and the Safran Group OEMs in developing the after-market sales strategy and goals to grow Safran Aerosystems Services business with Helicopter Operators, MROs, and other customers. Responsibilities
Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change. Lead Helicopter Sales initiatives within the North Americas region to improve brand, retain business, influence/win new business and grow Sales. Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities. Participates in formulating and developing long-range sales and marketing goals and objectives. Sources new business with current and new customers, to meet defined sales goals of product and service. Creates and submits reports of progress and achievements on a biweekly basis. Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans. Promotes sales and engages in discussions/negotiations with major operators and the end customers/users as requested by the account. Makes reports of activities to management (business trip reports, Won/Loss reports, periodic meetings/status on activity) and follows actions. Performs special projects and related duties as assigned. Qualification requirements

Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. c) Communication Skills Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Good oral and written communication skills essential for interaction with both internal and external customers. d) Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
