Inside Sales The Inside Sales Specialist will provide sales support for the outside sales team and branches by promoting and selling HVAC/R products and systems to meet or exceed company objectives. This role also includes soliciting orders and prospecting for customers by contacting current accounts or licensed HVAC/R contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Sell heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, parts, and supplies.
Handle inbound calls and emails to determine product type, quality, and specifications; effectively communicate product features and usage.
Provide sales support, including entering orders, preparing pricing and quotations, and supplying technical details.
Sell directly to dealers and contractors over the telephone.
Prepare job quotations, approvals, and submittals; follow up on open quotations and manage awarded job quotes.
Research part numbers, pricing, and availability using company systems; recommend substitutions or modifications when needed.
Process sales orders, quote orders, and special-order purchase orders.
Proactively solicit sales from both new and existing customers by phone.
Resolve customer concerns and elevate inventory issues to management when necessary.
Conduct cross-references for new business opportunities and enter quotations into the system.
Prepare and maintain price books for established accounts as requested.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to identify and address customer needs.
Practical knowledge of warehouse operations, data processing, and workflow procedures.
Ability to mediate and resolve situations among employees and customers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic internet navigation.
Results-driven with excellent time management and organizational skills.
Comfortable making outbound sales calls to build customer relationships.
Wholesale distribution experience preferred.
