This role is with InfraServices, focused on tower installation, maintenance, and repair for wireless infrastructure. The position requires climbing towers up to 500 feet and working safely at heights under established safety guidelines. Job Summary
The Tower Technician I assists in the installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless communication towers and related infrastructure. You will work under the guidance of experienced tower technicians and foremen to develop skills for advancement. Responsibilities
Climb and work on communication towers and elevated structures up to 500 feet Assist with installation and maintenance of antennas, radios, transmission lines, connectors, and mounts Assist with assembly of monopoles, self-support towers, and guyed towers Use hand and power tools at ground and elevated levels Follow company and industry safety practices, including proper use of fall protection equipment Accurately complete timecards, safety checklists, and other documentation Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and vehicles Keep a clean and organized job site with proper handling and disposal of tools, materials, and waste Support experienced tower technicians and foremen in all aspects of tower work Travel regularly to job sites, including potential overnight stays Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Education: High school diploma, GED, or related trade school education Experience: Construction, climbing, or outdoor labor experience; ability to climb and work at heights safely; required certifications may include Authorized Climber or Competent Climber/Rescue, OSHA 10 Construction Training, First Aid and CPR; other relevant certifications may be required per scope of work Technical Skills: Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency; ability to operate hand and power tools; basic knowledge of wireless systems; ability to use GPS and site audit tools Soft Skills: Reliable, punctual, safety-focused; collaborative and able to follow procedures; effective communicator; aware of safety risks while working at heights and with heavy equipment Physical Requirements: Pre-employment screening (background and drug testing); valid driver’s license; ability to climb and work at heights up to 500 feet; ability to lift up to 75 pounds; ability to wear PPE; ability to travel up to 75% of the time; ability to work long hours in outdoor conditions; ability to perform tower rescues and safety drills Benefits
