As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home. Compensation, Schedule, and Platform
Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to reach up to $40/hour for ongoing sessions with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time. We handle logistics—you invoice for tutoring sessions and we manage payments. Responsibilities
Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring for SEE content, tailoring instruction to individual student needs. Match with students whose learning style and goals align with your teaching approach. What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in SEE - Special Enrollment Exam and the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education. Ways To Connect With Students
