Donation Station Attendant (DSA) FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Donations Field Supervisor About the Position

The Donation Station Attendant is responsible for accepting donated goods from the public and providing excellent customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greets donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner; unloads donations from vehicles and offers tax receipts. Evaluates donated items to determine if acceptable for donation. Sorts donations into assigned categories and packs safely into containers. Informs supervisor of status of station, container footage, and condition. Maintains accurate donor tallies and other support duties. Maintains accurate and timely loading checklists. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Identifies and properly disposes of garbage and processes recyclable material. Builds and maintains internal and external customer satisfaction. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Demonstrates safe work practices and reports potential hazards or accidents. If applicable: Consistent and safe execution of duties associated with forklift operation when certified to Seattle Goodwill standards. Must maintain reliable attendance. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education and/or Experience No previous experience or education required Ability to read, speak and write English and perform basic math skills Ability to work with a diverse team Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations Forklift certification optional; must meet eligibility requirements. Computer/Technology Skills Ability to use a mobile phone Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 40-60 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods, walk, use hands, balance, bend and reach, and operate foot pedals. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Ability to communicate effectively, including with individuals with limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance. Essential Mental/Sensory Abilities
