Environmental Scientist

(hydrogeologist, geologist, or environmental scientist) to support the retail petroleum new-store construction team. The successful candidate will be a hands-on professional, handling tasks both in the field and in the office for small to large-scale construction projects. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Initially, responsibilities will include permitting, project preparation, and report writing for construction projects across multiple states. Prepare Best Management Practices and permit applications for dewatering, and follow through to permit approval. Conduct Phase I/II environmental assessments, including field activities with complex instrumentation, and oversee subcontractors. Write reports interpreting collected data, including text, tables, and figures, suitable for review by clients and regulators. Assist Project Managers with project tasks such as setting up Purchase Orders, scheduling subcontractors and field personnel, and tracking deadlines. Work effectively as part of a team while managing individual projects within time and budget constraints. Apply best practices and knowledge to improve products or services in the discipline. Utilize knowledge and skills in standard and nonstandard situations. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Experience in petroleum cleanup projects. Knowledge of Florida environmental regulations and permits. Good interpersonal skills for interaction with clients and regulatory agencies. Strong written communication and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. Ability to work outdoors in various conditions for up to 12 hours. Valid Driver's License. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification. About APTIM
