Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) is a multi-campus college with locations in Troy and Malta, NY. Description Of Vacant Position
To conduct classes in all subject areas of the High School Equivalency (HSE) and pre-HSE programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Education, Secondary English Education (7-12), Secondary Math, or closely related field that demonstrates the ability to teach all components (math, reading, science, social studies and writing) of the NYS approved high school equivalency assessment, as well as lower level topics in math and language skills.
Three years of related teaching experience.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability and experience to teach in small and large group settings with continuous bi-weekly student enrollment.
Experience working with educationally and economically disadvantaged populations.
Experience teaching remotely.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with students and staff in an enthusiastic and encouraging manner.
Compensation
Hourly rate: $44.00.
