As a Lounge Service Associate at Sessions by the Bay, you will play a critical role in ensuring every guest has a memorable and exquisite dining experience. This position requires precision in executing food orders, coordinating guest seating, and maintaining a welcoming, professional atmosphere in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Cutting-Edge Facilities : Work in a space equipped with the latest technology, designed for optimal customer and employee satisfaction. Your Role as Lounge Service Associate As a Lounge Service Associate, you will ensure precise execution of incoming food and beverage orders to guarantee exceptional guest experiences. You will utilize reservation and POS systems to coordinate guest seating and manage orders while supporting bar and dining operations. A strong background in dining hospitality service is essential, as well as the ability to create an inviting and seamless environment for all guests. A key responsibility of this role is cleaning and maintaining our rental smoking devices, which involves working with cleaning chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol, liquid soap, and bleach. What You’ll Do Manage Reservations & Seating : Utilize our reservation system (e.g., OpenTable) to coordinate guest seating, ensuring smooth table turnover and efficient guest flow. POS Management : Use Toast POS to manage food and beverage orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in communication with the kitchen and dining team. Support Servers : Ensure servers have everything they need, including glassware, ingredients, cannabis products, smoking devices, and other necessary supplies. Restock and Maintain Supplies : Keep the bar stocked with beverages, cannabis products, garnishes, and clean glassware. Refill ice bins, maintain product displays, and ensure the bar remains organized. Clear and Clean Tables : Remove used glassware, dishes, and utensils from tables. Wipe down tables and chairs to ensure the lounge remains tidy and inviting. Food Running : Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen or bar to guests in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation are maintained. Clean and Maintain Rental Devices : Clean and sanitize rental smoking devices using cleaning chemicals such as isopropyl alcohol, liquid soap, bleach, and other disinfectants, ensuring devices are safe, functional, and ready for use. Maintain Cleanliness : Regularly wipe down bar surfaces, sanitize high-contact areas, and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols. Assist with Setup and Breakdown : Help with bar setup before shifts and ensure the bar is clean and restocked for the next day after closing. Assist in preparing dining areas for service and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the lounge. Collaborate with Team : Work closely with bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction. Work Environment This position is based in a cannabis consumption lounge where smoke and cannabis use are present. You must be comfortable working in this environment. Masks will be provided upon request for added comfort. What We’re Looking For Hospitality Expertise:
A proven track record in dining or hospitality service, with a commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience. POS System Proficiency:
Experience using Toast POS or similar systems to manage orders and ensure accuracy. Energetic and Detail-Oriented : You are a hard worker with a positive attitude and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment. Team Player : You enjoy working in a team-oriented environment and support your coworkers to ensure smooth operations. Proactive and Efficient : You are quick to notice when supplies need replenishing, tables need clearing, food needs delivering, or rental devices need cleaning, and you respond efficiently to maintain workflow. Strong Work Ethic : You are reliable, dependable, and take pride in your work, no matter how big or small the task. Cannabis Knowledge : While direct cannabis industry experience isn’t required, familiarity with cannabis products and accessories is a plus. You should have an interest in learning more about the industry. Comfortable with Cleaning Chemicals : You will need to safely handle cleaning supplies, such as isopropyl alcohol, liquid soap, and bleach, when cleaning rental devices and maintaining sanitation standards. Qualifications Prior experience in a bar, lounge, or restaurant environment is preferred but not required. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Must be 21 years of age or older and able to meet state cannabis regulations.
