As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys — all from the comfort of your home. Compensation and Benefits
Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40/hour for ongoing sessions with the same student. Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced. Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like. Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required. AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time. We handle the logistics — you invoice for sessions and we manage payments. Responsibilities
Deliver online Criminal Law tutoring to students, adapting explanations to different learning styles. Match with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise. Prepare and deliver engaging, personalized lessons remotely through the platform. Respond to student needs and inquiries in a timely manner. What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style. Expertise in Criminal Law with the ability to explain concepts clearly. Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles. Prior tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education preferred. Ways To Connect With Students
