The Opportunity
Custom Manufacturing & Engineering, Inc. (CME) is seeking a dynamic
Industrial Sales Representative
to expand our reach in Business-to-Business Selective markets while strengthening our existing customer base. This is an opportunity to represent an established engineering and manufacturing company that serves the
defense, aerospace, industrial, and power/energy
industries. You'll drive growth through consultative selling, strategic account development, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams to deliver high-value solutions to customers worldwide. What You'll Do
Identify and develop new business opportunities across target markets and industries. Build, manage, and grow long-term customer relationships through proactive engagement and exceptional service. Prepare and present compelling proposals and quotations in partnership with engineering and estimating teams. Negotiate contracts and close deals that meet revenue and margin goals. Collaborate with program managers and production teams to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction. Track and forecast sales performance using CRM and ERP tools (Deltek Costpoint or similar). Attend industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote CME's capabilities and brand. Provide regular sales updates, pipeline reports, and market feedback to senior leadership. What You Bring
Education:
Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred. Experience:
3+ years of successful sales experience in manufacturing, engineering services, or technology markets. Skills:
Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business. Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills. Understanding of technical or engineered products and solutions. Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
