The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Position Summary: The Crisis Respite Center is a five bed JCAHO accredited adult crisis respite facility located in Bethel, Alaska. The individual in this position will provide direct integrated clinical services to the residents of YKHC's Behavioral Health Crisis Respite Center. The individual in this position will also supervise, train staff, and coordinate client care in a manner consistent with policies and procedures. The individual in this position will also facilitate the provision of a safe, healthy, structured environment; engage clients and families a therapeutic alliance, and function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary integrated Behavioral Health treatment team.
Position Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Nursing with specialty in Mental Health.
Two- (2) years supervised experience providing various behavioral health direct clinical care services performed at a satisfactory level.
Experience in a cross-cultural setting preferable with Native American cultures.
Licensed or licensable by the State of Alaska in their respective profession.
