VHVI Non-Inv Diag Nuclear Job Summary: Performs all Nuclear Medicine and/or PET procedures in accordance with established department policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. Key Responsibilities: Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective imaging. Applies a broad range of skills to ensure exams are completed timely and meet quality and compliance standards. Provides appropriate Nuclear Med/PET screening process to patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards. Assists in the orientation and training of new staff. The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position; additional duties may be assigned. Technical Capabilities: Anatomy & Physiology Knowledge (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to demonstrate anatomy and physiology knowledge in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Radiology (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to demonstrate radiology services in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Patient Documentation (Novice): Possesses sufficient fundamental proficiency to demonstrate patient documentation in practical applications of moderate difficulty. Compliance (Novice): Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job. Understands the principles upon which the rules and regulations are based.
