Department Details Summary Provide high quality images, including sophisticated special procedures, through operation of specialized equipment to ensure optimum clarity for physician diagnosis with minimal discomfort and radiation exposure to patients.
Job Description Provide patient care and initiate life support measures as necessary. Interact effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and healthcare workers.
Operate CT equipment to produce quality CT scans, perform related procedures and protocols, and learn new technology. Obtain information from patients to improve personalized treatment and care. Develop an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status, working well with all age groups.
Qualifications
Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program.
One year experience as a radiologic technologist.
Understanding of diagnostic radiographic principles, film processing, quality control, radiation protection, cross-sectional anatomy, and computer language.
Registered or registry eligible by ARRT; registration within two years of hire.
CT certification preferred.
