The Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Units include: complex medicine, joint replacement, orthopedics, observation, neuroscience, oncology, primary care, specialty surgery, nursing rehab units, acute care for the elderly (ACE), cardiac telemetry, cardiovascular telemetry, vascular, trauma, short stay and dialysis units. These units value the art and science of nursing and offer a high level of interaction with patients and families. Responsibilities
Under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, deliver nursing care to patients. Plan and implement nursing care; document nursing assessments; identify and report situations requiring further intervention; formulate and communicate goal-directed plan of care; assure patient rights. Perform job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital and principles of quality improvement. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida. BSN or if ASN must have 1+ year RN hospital experience and be enrolled in a BSN program. Oncology experience required; bone marrow transplant experience highly preferred.
