Our team of doctors, advanced care providers, nurses, therapists and researchers provide the region's most advanced medicine at multiple facilities, campuses, clinics and classrooms. We offer patients convenient access to innovative treatments and advancements that improve the health and overall wellbeing of our community.
Responsibilities The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of South Alabama Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine has openings for Emergency Medicine faculty to work in one or more of our emergency departments. This includes the USA Health University Hospital (the region's only Level 1 Trauma Center), the USA Health Children's & Women's Hospital Pediatric Emergency Department, and the USA Health Freestanding Emergency Department, all within the city of Mobile. Qualified candidates should be certified in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Additional fellowship training or academic experience is a plus. For work at the USA Health Freestanding Emergency Department, candidates with Family Medicine certification and substantial emergency department experience will be considered. Level of appointment is open and will be commensurate with experience and academic productivity.
