Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab Travel Position
Location: Kansas City, MO
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 5×8 Days
Pay: $2,572/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)
Job Description We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Kansas City, MO. The Cath Lab RN will provide specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, ensuring safe and high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
Monitor patients’ hemodynamic status, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms.
Administer medications, sedation, and other prescribed therapies as required.
Assist physicians and the Cath Lab team with procedures, maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and in a timely manner.
Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
Active RN license in Missouri or a compact state.
Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience (travel experience preferred).
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional facility-required certifications as applicable).
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test.
Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced procedural settings.
