Weeks Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead a large-scale data center project in Reno, NV. This role demands extensive expertise in data center construction, and candidates must have a proven track record in managing similar builds.
DATA CENTER CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE IS MANDATORY.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Coordinate with general contractors, architects, engineers, commissioning agents, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless project execution. Construction Oversight:
Manage all stages of construction, including scheduling, selecting contractors, and overseeing performance to ensure quality and adherence to plans. Recruitment & Training:
Recruit and manage contractors and trade partners while also providing training to ensure top performance. Contract & Material Management:
Negotiate contracts and oversee procurement of materials and supplies to keep the project on time and within budget. Safety & Compliance:
Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed and that all construction activities meet or exceed established standards. Financial & Reporting Management:
Monitor budgets and financial performance, ensuring the project remains on target. Provide clear updates through regular operations review meetings. Client Relations:
Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, addressing project issues promptly and positively to foster long-term relationships. Problem Solving & Technical Oversight:
Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues, ensure contractor work aligns with design specifications, and provide innovative solutions to challenges. Team Development:
Lead high-performance teams by mentoring, coaching, and developing talent to deliver exceptional results. Essential Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field, or 7-10 years of experience as a Construction Manager, Owner’s Representative, or similar role on large-scale data center projects. Minimum 5 years of experience managing data center construction projects of $100M+ value.
Skills & Expertise:
Extensive commercial building and data center construction experience required. In-depth understanding of construction cost management, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles. Proficient in contract review, interpretation of project drawings, specifications, and scope of work documentation. Familiarity with MS Office Suite, MS Project, and Primavera P6. Proficiency with Procore is a plus. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a proven ability to lead both first- and second-tier subcontractors. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, delivering complex projects efficiently and effectively. Team-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Compensation:
Salary:
