to apply internally. Responsibilities / Key Accountabilities
Lead design efforts from start to finish of new product development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Marketing, Engineering, Sourcing, and Manufacturing. Be the subject matter expert on design for assigned product categories, from strategy to project execution, and mentor other designers on the team. Range of projects may include Drinking Water Solutions, Filter Systems, Kitchen Sinks and Faucets, Restroom Fixtures, and Hand Drying/Sanitization. Collaborate with Product Management to identify and visualize product opportunities and problems to solve driven by consumer insights and market trends; conduct design research activities and ideation workshops, including 3rd party resources as needed. Translate insights and trends into viable design strategies and concepts using a diverse toolkit (sketches, storyboards, photorealistic renderings, detailed drawings, and 3D mockups/prototypes). Present concepts to internal staff and senior leadership; support validation testing of concepts via renderings, storyboards, and prototypes. Translate Brand Identities into product design guidelines and strategies; generate design solutions with attention to aesthetics, functionality, usability, and finish details. Skills and Competencies
Excellent communication skills; able to adapt to different audiences and situations and influence and inspire others. Vision and creativity to formulate new ideas while ensuring day-to-day project needs are met. Time and project management with the ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain cross-functional alignment on design objectives. Good working knowledge of consumer insights and design/market research methodologies; know how to integrate research into the design process. Proactive problem-solving to address issues before they arise, both on projects and in daily operations. Qualifications / Requirements
BS or BA in Industrial Design Minimum 2 years\' experience as an Industrial Designer Experience with branded consumer products; housewares, consumer electronics, home appliance experience preferred Expert knowledge of 2D and 3D visualization software: Adobe Creative Suite, KeyShot, SolidWorks preferred, Rhino 3D a plus Experience with hands-on rapid prototyping techniques including study models and 3D printing Portfolio that showcases design skills and problem-solving process Experience working at a consulting firm and manufacturer preferred Strong sense of aesthetics and form; excellent 2D design skills related to product graphics and presentation layouts Working knowledge of UI/UX design process and principles Strong sketching skills for ideation and quick visualization of multiple concepts Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $76,000 - $100,000 Total Rewards and Benefits
