Job Overview
This role involves performing, checking accuracy, and reporting results of routine and complex laboratory procedures on body tissues, fluids, and other substances. The technologist will assist with evaluating new instruments and methods, reagent preparation, quality control, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and may also assist with apheresis procedures, bone marrows, educational sessions, computer operations, and quality activities as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or a related field.
Completion of a 12-month internship in a NAACLS-accredited Medical Technology program with ASCP or a related certification with ASCP or AMT.
Students pursuing a Medical Technology degree must obtain their degree within nine months of hire.
Certification from ASCP or AMT must be obtained within 15 months of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA may be required within 30 days, depending on patient care responsibilities.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $26.55 – $43.10/hour.
$8,000 sign-on bonus for new hires (Full-Time).
