Focus is proactive to anticipate and meet user needs while adhering to regulatory requirements and SJ/C Strategic Information Systems goals. The Clinical Analyst II has excellent working knowledge of software applications that integrate with those directly being supported. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies application systems, including encoding, testing, troubleshooting, and installation. The Clinical Analyst II collaborates with department managers, peers, and business units to evaluate and manage application build, usage, and interfaces. Responsible for advising on system selection, installation, operation, and ongoing support of software applications. Facilitates and leads "go-live" and "upgrade" processes. Serves as project manager on assigned projects, ensuring completion on schedule and within budget. Manages project scope changes, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans. Acts as a resource for other analysts by responding to questions, troubleshooting, testing, and monitoring application utilization. Coaches, mentors, and motivates Analyst I, vendors, and contractors, fostering accountability. Utilizes strong technical writing, communication, and presentation skills, maintaining comprehensive documentation. Has working knowledge of regulatory requirements and data structures, translating end-user needs effectively. Maintains open communication with practitioners for consultation and assistance.
Education
Bachelor's in Healthcare - Required
Experience
3-5 years in health systems functional areas or installing/maintaining computer system applications - Required
Successful completion of training on Microsoft Windows, Office applications, and assigned software.

Core Job Functions
Provides direct support in application software use, including problem resolution, functionality research, questions, and staff training. Ensures vendors have necessary information for problem resolution. Leads projects related to product selection, requirements, communication, implementation, and support. Acts as a liaison for assigned modules, answering questions on system use, hardware, and workflows. Coaches Analysts I, sharing knowledge and promoting team success. Other duties as assigned.
Customizes dictionaries, security, menus, and displays according to SOPs. Maintains documentation of changes and adheres to change control policies. Participates in implementation teams, providing guidance on planning, training, testing, and conversion. Offers on-site support during go-lives or upgrades. Recommends hardware and assists with interface testing.
Develops comprehensive test scenarios for new or upgraded applications before go-live. Reports issues to vendors and staff during testing for resolution. Ensures training for effective support and end-user proficiency. Resolves issues within own modules and escalates outside scope. Analyzes and resolves problems promptly, considering system-wide effects.
