Assesses patients' needs, plans care, implements, and evaluates patient care based on the nurse’s knowledge of growth and development, hospital and nursing philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards. Job Description: Education: Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing, or enrollment in an RN-BSN or RN-MSN program within one (1) year of hire, with completion within five (5) years if hired after July 1, 2012. Licensure/Certification: Required: California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA); Additional certifications as required based on department: ACLS, PALS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and others as listed, with specified timelines for acquisition. Experience: Required: One (1) year of acute care RN experience or successful completion of Eisenhower’s Nurse Residency Program. Preferred: Experience in the area of specialty. Additional responsibilities include compliance with policies, comprehensive patient assessments, participation in care planning, documentation, patient education, discharge planning, professional development, communication, quality improvement, and teamwork.
