Supervises staff that performs the installation of copper/fiber network communications facilities (both buried and aerial) in accordance with Nsight and industry standards. As a leader, completes advanced operations of all construction and testing equipment including trenchers, backhoes, end loaders, horizontal directional drills, and plows. Installs, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs aerial and underground copper/fiber facilities. Ensures the entire team operates according to safety protocols. This position allows employees to return home each night, as all work is conducted locally. Responsibilities & Duties

Receives maps and staking sheets for full construction project and ensure project is built to Nsight standards with limited guidance. Daily visits to ensure projects are following safety, quality control and productivity standards. Oversee daily and weekly project work based on deadlines and customer needs, including material and equipment availability, weather and other factors. Drafts and submits redlines upon completion of each job. Assists with defining labor and material needed for all jobs. Assists with defining permit requirements for all jobs. Manage overall path planning for all construction jobs. Responsible for keeping Nsight construction vehicles, trailers and equipment serviced, maintained and DOT compliant. Additional Duties might include: Constructs and maintains copper/fiber networks using heavy equipment and safety practices. Installs, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs aerial and buried telecom infrastructure. Updates GIS and project documentation; performs cable fault testing and locates facilities. Restores worksite post-construction and maintains tools and equipment. Trains and mentors team members; enforces safety and performs quality control. Other duties as assigned Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of construction equipment operation utilizing various underground and aerial construction equipment such as directional drills, trencher/plow/rocksaw, backhoe, or bucket trucks. Must have prior leadership of construction crews. Prior experience in working with telecommunication products and services. A Class A CDL is not required but strongly preferred. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and remain eligible for DOT requirements. Must be able to operate vehicles with manual transmissions. This role is ideal for someone with strong construction and telecom experience who can lead projects independently while ensuring safety, quality, and team development.
