Cold Box Pressure Vessel and Piping Engineer
What you will enjoy doing* Involvement in design, engineering, fabrication, and construction activities from proposal to implementation at existing ASU sites. Serve as a technical expert on Cold Box Flexibility Analysis, ASME B31.3 Requirements, Pressure Vessel Design, Cryogenic Pipe Sizing, Routing, and P&ID inputs. Prepare and approve Cold Box Design Analysis Calculations, Fabrication Drawings, and shop/field Pressure Test Drawings. Prepare and approve third-party aftermarket spare parts fabrication drawings, specifications, inspection/test plans, and resolve fabrication issues. Conduct technical approval of MOC’s for welding, NDE, testing, repairs, and modifications of vessels and piping. Support on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specs, safety standards, and project timelines, and resolving technical issues. Collaborate with Operations, Reliability, and Plant Design Engineering departments. What makes you great Bachelor's in Engineering, BSME preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in cold box engineering, ASU plant design, or equipment engineering; other relevant experience considered. Ability to self-manage and prioritize work with minimal supervision. Ability to make technical decisions considering feasibility, cost, and system integration. Innovative problem-solving skills with engineered solutions. Effective communication skills, including writing and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time. Cold Box experience, knowledge of Linde design guidelines, engineering standards (ASME, ASTM, ANSI), and legacy Praxair standards are preferred.
