Great Hill is seeking a Tier 2 Enterprise Operations Engineer (Journeyman)
in Washington. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Tier 2 troubleshooting and support for a virtual infrastructure using VMware. Additionally, the candidate will provide operations support for physical devices and cabling within a data center. Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
: Provide Tier 2 Incident Management triage, troubleshooting, and resolution for virtual infrastructure using VMware vSphere, vCenter, and various technologies. Fulfill Tier 2Service Requests, including Virtual Machine builds, decommissions, and changes to resources. Provide technical customer communication and interface. Maintain and support physical devices and cabling within a data center, including servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and storage systems. Install and configure physical devices and cabling within a data center. Monitor IT infrastructure through prescribed tools and continuously ensure systems monitoring tools are configured to ensure comprehensive system state awareness Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) tools, including ServiceNow, to execute Tier 2Service Request Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management processes Participate in other ITIL process areas such as configuration management, change management, release management, service-level management, availability management, capacity management, service continuity management, information security management. Work collaboratively with other teams to resolve complex issues. Continuously improve operational processes and procedures. Ensure compliance with security and operational policies. Active Top-Secret Clearance Required. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldor equivalent experience. 2-4 years of experience with VMware vSphere and/or vCenter. Experience with enterprise-level environments. Experience with enterprise storage solutions.
