MEAU Service Engineers deliver expert technical support by diagnosing breakdowns, maintaining automation systems, and maximizing customer uptime through proactive troubleshooting and service. Success in this role requires a passion for tackling complex, real-world engineering problems, a commitment to continuous learning, and the ability to deliver innovative solutions that reflect the reputation of the Mitsubishi Electric Automation brand.

Core Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

Diagnose, maintain, and optimize electro-mechanical systems through on-site, advanced troubleshooting and technical analysis.

Customer Interaction:

Deliver responsive and knowledgeable assistance on-site or virtually, ensuring seamless support across all communication channels.

Service Sales:

Actively promote value-added services (VAS) and identify opportunities for spare parts procurement to support operational continuity.

Training & Development:

Engage in ongoing technical training and collaborate with peers to continuously expand skill sets and enhance service delivery.

Education, Skills and Experience:

Degree (or equivalent military training) in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or Industrial Automation; or equivalent education and work experience.

Proven experience with electrical troubleshooting and effective problem-solving

Technical Aptitude with the desire to continually learn and gain knowledge

Ability to read and understand technical documents such as schematics

Hands on use of testing and measuring equipment (volt meters/oscilloscopes)

Critical thinking and adaptability

Field Service experience is highly valued, and previous experience in a similar role may be required depending on the level of the position

Product Experience:

MEAU Service Engineers receive thorough in-house training on Mitsubishi technologies such as PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and CNCs. While prior experience in these types of technologies is advantageous, it is not always required; role level and regional needs determine the necessary qualifications

Travel Requirements & Job Setting

Service Engineers travel up to 80% of the time . Travel is most often local trips within region with occasional travel nationwide, as needed.

Overnight travel may be required and will vary depending on territory and demand.

Service vehicle is provided (must be legally able to drive)

When not at a customer site, Service Engineers provide support remotely via MEAU’s online system—from home or MEAU’s corporate office

Our Service Engineers work Monday-Friday; opportunities for overtime and weekends when available.
