Summary
The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising all distribution center activities performed on their shift. Responsibilities include interviewing, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work. Lead inbound/outbound operations to meet all Safety, Inventory and Productivity KPI’s.
What You’ll Do
Must behave consistently with the Company’s Core Competencies, Polices, Procedures, guidelines, and focus on safety
Participate in all aspects of hiring new employees. Train, assign, and direct work. Complete performance reviews, and disciplines and/or address complaints and resolve employee issues
Supervise and coordinate the functions of departments in an orderly manner to achieve the highest possible levels of accuracy and productivity
Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment and maintain the security of the Distribution Center
Ensure inbound and/or outbound shipments and products are accurate and free of damage
Coordinate activities related to receiving, shipping, picking and packing of inventory and non-inventory items
Establish work schedules, ensure that jobs are correctly implemented, assigned effectively, and completed properly
Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate manner. Utilize Workforce Management System (WMS) metrics, reporting and other tools to increase warehouse productivity.
Evaluate policies and procedures to improve efficiency and make recommendations for improvement
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Certified to operate all material handling equipment: forklift, Stand-Up Rider pallet Jack, Electric Reach Truck, and High-Reach Narrow-Aisle
High School or GED - Required
Ability to perform job duties of all departmental positions
Must be service oriented, self-motivated, dependable, possess excellent leadership skills, and customer service skills
Ability to perform various tasks on computers, including the use of Excel, Outlook, and Word is required
Proficiency in all aspects of the Distribution Center Management Software (WMS), AS400, or other systems in use at Distribution Centers
Ability to handle difficult situations and problem solve
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Knowledge and experience in Lean and Process Flow Layout in Distribution Centers

Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Frequently – 21% to 50%
Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Frequently – 21% to 50%
Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51%
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Occasionally – up to 20%
Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Occasionally – up to 20%
Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51%

Working Environment
