The Business Manager is responsible for the overall non-clinical, day-to-day operations of the site, including evening and weekend coverage as needed. This role plans, organizes, directs, supervises, and coordinates the administrative functions, programs, and activities of the Ambulatory Health Network. The Business Manager ensures smooth operational workflows and supports the delivery of high-quality patient care by aligning departmental activities with the objectives of the Ambulatory Health Network. This position plays a key role in staff supervision, resource allocation, process improvement, and maintaining operational efficiency across the site.
Responsibilities
Hires, supervises, trains, evaluates, and disciplines non-clinical staff; develops schedules and staffing plans to ensure appropriate coverage and productivity. Directs daily non-clinical site operations, ensuring smooth patient flow, effective communication, and coordination among administrative, nursing, and medical staff. Oversees pre-billing activities, ensures accurate charge capture, collaborates on charge master updates, and addresses coding and compliance issues to support timely and accurate billing. Leads patient satisfaction initiatives, resolves complaints, and facilitates internal and external communication to maintain high-quality service standards. Develops and maintains departmental policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements; ensures compliance with performance, safety, and infection control standards. Assists in budget development and oversight, monitors financial performance, and leads quality improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the healthcare field, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Strong general business skills, including budgeting, staff development, and training.
Knowledge of managed care requirements and healthcare operations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and database management programs.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) required; knowledge of Russian or Spanish is a plus.
Pay Range
