The Mechanical Engineering Department at Cal Poly invites applications for possible temporary part-time position(s) available as determined by need for the 2025-26 academic year. Teaching assignments will be in fundamental or advanced mechanical engineering courses. Initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background and are determined by the hiring department. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A graduate degree is preferred. Teaching and/or industrial experience is preferred. Relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities. SPECIAL CONDITIONS Following a conditional offer of employment, a background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate may start work with Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
