Closing Date: Monday, March 31, 2025 @ 4:00 PM MST Salary Range: Dependent on Experience (DOE) **APPLICANT MUST HAVE A VALID, UNRESTRICTED INSURABLE DRIVER’S LICENSE** **RESUME AND REFERENCES ARE REQUIRED** ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee, coordinate, plan, organize, implement and evaluate the ancillary services of inpatients and outpatients of all ages with a wide variety of diagnostic conditions. Responsible for written directives addressing decisions and compliance with administrative policies and procedures. Manage and direct the Ancillary Services including strategic planning, policy formulation, budget management, total quality management, financial management, equipment and supplies management, planning and management of specialty clinics. Promote training needs of all direct care staff within Ancillary Services and ensures staff development and competency. Ensure that direct care staff demonstrates knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan and possess the skills necessary to evaluate and treat patients of all ages. Ensure diagnostic and therapeutic services provided meet departmental requirements. Promote, support, and coordinate planning and implementation of educational programs which include the training of interns from affiliated university programs, staff in-service training, in-service programs for physicians, nurses and other direct care staff, other government agencies and the community at large. Provide expert professional consultation to personnel, medical staff within the hospital, schools and the community in general on ancillary services available and indications thereof. Assign work to staff based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments and the capabilities of employees. Collaborate and coordinate with the Branch Chief and other departmental Chiefs via conference calls and scheduled meetings on standardized policies and procedures, planning and implementing area-wide performance improvement monitors, on Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) preparation on mandates and other professional issues. Direct, coordinate, and oversee work of staff; develop monitors and evaluate work performance of staff; schedule and approve leave requests of staff. Advise, counsel or instruct employees on both work and administrative matters; works with Human Resources in resolving group grievances or serious employee complaints, and with disciplinary issues, such as warnings and reprimands. Improve clinical and non-clinical work methods and procedures. Provide technical requirements and descriptions of work to be accomplished. Provide day to day leadership and management that reflect the adopted mission and core values of the organization. Assume responsibilities for interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Establish and approve overall work schedules and determines individual or work group assignments. Create policies, programs and procedures related to ancillary services along with the Ancillary Services Branch Supervisors. Work with other Clinical Service Division Branch Supervisors for the purpose of meeting FDIHB needs for Medical Services in conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Assume responsibility for the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement of Medical Care delivered at FDIHB in conjunction with the CMO and members of the Medical Staff. Develop and implement plans/programs for improvement, expansion and contraction of patient care services to meet evolving patient care needs or staffing levels. Assume responsibility for satisfying Ancillary Services Branch Department’s requirements in order to maintain the CMS and other pertinent accreditation. Serve on a variety of hospital committees. Perform other duties as assigned. MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Five (5) years clinical experience and two (2) years supervisory experience in healthcare. Education: Completion of a medical degree from an accredited university, or completion of a Master’s level nursing degree from an accredited university.
