You’ll oversee daily operations, lead maintenance initiatives, and support long-term planning to ensure our site runs efficiently and safely.**Key Responsibilities:****Safety*** Champion a strong safety culture using Carpenter’s Critical 7 methodology.* Lead efforts to build an interdependent safety mindset across the site.**Operations*** Manage day-to-day manufacturing activities aligned with the Carpenter Operational Model.* Use tools like A3 problem solving, waste elimination, and value stream mapping.* Support employee engagement and morale while meeting production goals.* Recommend improvements in equipment, processes, and technologies.**Maintenance*** Lead a safety-first approach within the Maintenance Team.* Drive equipment reliability and uptime through preventive and predictive maintenance.* Apply lean tools like 6S, TPM, and standardized work.* Manage spare parts inventory, vendors, and contractors.* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.**Planning*** Oversee manufacturing reliability and flow using synchronous manufacturing principles.* Identify and eliminate constraints and reduce process variation.* Support long-term capacity planning and inventory management.* Provide training and guidance to team members.**Education & Experience*** High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.* 2+ years in a manufacturing support role (e.g., Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Engineer).**Skills & Abilities*** Strong leadership and communication skills.* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.* Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement.* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.* Skilled in coaching, training, and developing others.Carpenter Technology Company offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package including life, medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, disability coverage, 401k with company contributions as well as many other options to employees.Carpenter Technology Corporation’s policy is to fully and effectively maintain a program of equal employment opportunity and nondiscrimination for all employees, to employ affirmative action for all protected classes, and to recruit and develop the best qualified persons available regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, national origin, political affiliation or any other characteristic protected by law.
