HOSPICE PHYSICIAN, FULL TIME
BAYADA Home Health Care Hospice is seeking to fill the position of
full time Hospice Physician
to support our NH / VT locations. These offices provide best-in-class care to our hospice clients throughout the state of VT and 1 location in NH. Must have a valid VT/NH license, or willingness to obtain.

QUALIFICATIONS
Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence and reliability.
Licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy without restriction in
VT/NH
and able to provide proof of current licensure.
1-2 years of hospice physician experience preferred
Has extensive knowledge of the ethical and professional standards of the medical profession; applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations, including those related to the health and safety of patients; Hospice's policies and procedures; and the rules and regulations that are applicable to Hospice, including accreditation and certification requirements.
Maintains valid registration with the Drug Enforcement Administration ("DEA") and any applicable state agency without any limitation on the authority to prescribe drugs under such registration. Must provide current proof of such registration upon request.
Maintains unrestricted medical staff membership and clinical admitting privileges at any of Hospice’s inpatient facilities.
Available M-F 8:30-5 and for on-call rotation (7 days / month, 3 holidays per year)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrate and communicate the beliefs and values of The BAYADA Way.
Assume responsibility for overseeing the palliation and management of the terminal illness, comorbidities, and associated symptoms.
Perform those services appropriate to the position of Associate Medical Director of a hospice, which include, but are not limited to, the following administrative services:
a) Participate in Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) to coordinate all aspects of hospice care, including participation in initial and ongoing IDG comprehensive assessments.
b) Certify and recertify client eligibility for hospice care.
c) Ensure that the hospice Plans of Care (POC) are medically appropriate and consistent with federal and state laws and regulations in accordance with applicable Medicare hospice regulations.
COMPENSATION:
$125 / hour
