Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
at Starr Regional Medical Center.
$20,000 sign-on bonus
available for qualified applicants.
Schedule:
3x12 hour shifts one week and 3x12 hour shifts the next week, rotating weekends.
What we’re looking for Applicants should have a current Tennessee Registered Nurse license. Additional requirements include:
Basic Life Support certification is required at the time of hire
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support will be required within 6 months of hire or when transferring departments
Neonatal Resuscitation Provider will be required within 6 months of hire or when transferring departments
Responsibilities
Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient\'s condition.
Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to their capabilities and desires.
Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
Documents patient care given.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family as appropriate.
Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
