USPI OrthoArizona Surgery Center Gilbert is hiring an RN OR Circulator Full Time. The center is a single‑specialty outpatient surgery practice that specializes in orthopedic surgery. It is a joint venture between local physicians and USPI, the nation's largest provider of surgical services.

Job Summary A circulating nurse operates as a go‑between for the operating room staff and the rest of the surgery center. They are not scrubbed in. The circulating nurse does the initial assessment of the patient as they are wheeled into the operating room and ensures the patient is comfortable. They assist the surgeon and scrub nurse as they clean up and prepare for surgery. During the procedure, they hand packages of supplies to the scrub nurse as needed. They convey messages from the surgeon to other staff or family members when required. After surgery, they count opened packages and used supplies to ensure no supplies were accidentally left inside the patient. They are a vital member of the surgical team and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Minimum of two (2) previous OR experience preferred.

Current Arizona Nursing License.

Current CPR, ACLS certified.

Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.

Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.

Ability to care for patients from adult to geriatrics.

Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to operating room nursing.

Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the young adult, adult, and geriatric patient.

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Arizona.

Current American Heart ACLS and PALScertification required.

Minimum 2+ years experience working as a circulator required.

BSN preferred.

Required Experience
