Pharmacy Technician prepares compounded sterile products and performs related activities under the direction of a pharmacist. Responsibilities: Essential Duties
Adheres to CAPS policies and procedures Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique Assists in setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions using aseptic technique Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing Level II: may assist in training/mentoring of new IV Technicians as assigned. Note: The job function listed is not exhaustive; other duties may be assigned by the Supervisor. Expertise: Knowledge & Skills
Working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization General application of principles, theories and concepts Follows established procedures and guidelines Works under direct supervision from detailed verbal and/or written instructions Uses established procedures to accomplish tasks May require some limited judgement in resolving problems Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor, peers and subordinates Sterile compounding experience is not required; training will be provided Expertise: Qualifications - Education/Experience/Training
Required: High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent 0-2 years related experience Applicable industry/professional certification Regular and predictable on-site attendance cGMP training/experience desired; training will be provided Aseptic processing training/experience desired; training will be provided Active Washington Pharmacy Technician License Schedule: 4x10, 10-hour shifts from 7:30am - 6pm; work 4 days per week between Monday–Sunday with alternating weekends. Holidays/overtime as needed Salary range: $19.64-$29.71 per hour Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical: Sitting, standing, lifting up to 20 pounds; occasional lifting up to 40 pounds; manual dexterity and reach required. Environment: Moderate noise; production/manufacturing and lab environments; occasional exposure to moving parts or chemicals in certain areas. Other Requirements
