Physical Therapist – Outpatient Travel Position Location: Wareham, MA Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8s Pay: $2,225/week Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join an outpatient facility in Wareham, MA on a 13-week travel assignment. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, create individualized treatment plans, and provide outpatient rehabilitative services to restore mobility, improve strength, and enhance functional independence. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, adaptable, and experienced in outpatient physical therapy. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough physical therapy evaluations for patients in an outpatient setting. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Provide interventions such as gait training, strengthening, balance, and mobility exercises. Educate patients and families on therapy goals, safe mobility practices, and home exercise programs. Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and care plans accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory standards. Collaborate with occupational therapy, speech therapy, and medical providers to ensure coordinated patient care. Support recovery, independence, and quality of life through evidence-based PT practices. Qualifications
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Current and valid PT license in Massachusetts (or compact eligibility). Minimum 1 year of recent PT experience; outpatient setting preferred. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Strong documentation, communication, and clinical reasoning skills. Compassionate and adaptable approach with experience treating diverse patient populations. COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test. Benefits
