Responsibilities
The Licensed Clinician is responsible for coordinating all aspects of clinical treatment for assigned clients. Engages with clients firsthand and may provide individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention. The Clinician renders diagnostic and psychotherapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families; maintains contact with and consults with relevant collaborative parties; participates as a full member of the clinical team and program; and is responsible for maintaining client records. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and engagement Determine DSM V Diagnosis in consultation with supervisor, Medical Director, Psychiatrist, or medical provider Develop and implement treatment plans and contracts Modify treatment plans as appropriate during the course of treatment Discharge planning, including linkages to community support services Provide case management services Complete clinical documentation according to agency policies, HIPAA regulations, and funding sources Maintain productivity targets Participate in Peer Consultation and Quality Assurance Reviews Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to meet client and program needs Identify and develop approaches to address unmet client needs Acquire and maintain skills in evidence-based models Partner with supervisor for professional growth Contribute to program functioning and special projects Participate in agency-wide committees and community linkages Experience and Skills
Education/Qualifications Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or other licensed counseling field State of CT license required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) Minimum of 2+ years postgraduate outpatient experience Cultural competency for diverse populations Strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment skills Experience with diverse populations and clinical presentations Knowledge of mental health, child welfare systems, and community resources Good organizational and communication skills Ability to work autonomously and seek consultation when needed Proficiency in word processing and general computer skills
