The Sr. Director, Restaurant Sales & Services - US Major Markets leads the restaurant sales and service function for the MM region, driving growth through new business, expanding existing accounts, and retention. This leader builds and directs a technology-led sales organization, leveraging data to prioritize resources for scalable growth, and inspires a large team to achieve ambitious goals while fostering a culture of positivity, innovation, and fun. Responsibilities
Grow revenue through new sales acquisition, installation, and retention of assigned accounts. Provide leadership and vision for the dispersed Sales and Restaurant Services team in the regions through a hybrid phone/field sales model. Direct management of District Managers / Directors who lead pre- and post-sales teams. Own and improve the sales process and customer experience from pre-sale to post-sale in specified territories; examine and improve key business processes through tech and data innovation to drive scalable growth; source, vet, and build business cases to implement technologies that improve understanding of the restaurant landscape. Manage performance across the team to hit regional goals and address underperformance. Define characteristics of top performers; identify, recruit, hire and train Account Executives, Account Managers, and Sales Leaders to build a motivated, high-performing team. Represent OpenTable as an industry leader to high-value accounts, addressing conflicts, competitive threats, and market strategy changes. Provide cross-departmental guidance as the sales leadership voice with Product, Brand & Performance Marketing, Finance & Operations, Support, and Business Development; understand KPIs across these departments. Design, drive and present strategic plans with goals and implementation plans; run regions as business units with P&L responsibility and awareness of top-line and bottom-line drivers. Contribute to executive decisions related to pricing, prioritization, and delivery of corporate initiatives. Travel 30-50% to support regional activities. Qualifications
10+ years of relevant experience as a Sr. Director or Director, building and leading sales/business development teams or running business units. Experience at a fast-paced tech organization; restaurant industry experience preferred. Deep understanding of the restaurant industry, customer trends, and ability to translate into tactical plans. Proven ability to lead and overachieve on goals with strong prioritization and team focus. Deep experience with financial/sales modeling and forecasting; data-driven decision making, data analysis, storytelling, problem solving, and execution. Consistent sales success in a SaaS or startup environment; experience with complex high-value sales to key or national accounts. Ability to multitask and manage multiple high-priority, time-sensitive initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Entrepreneurial leadership style with autonomy, positivity, and a passion for the business; good sense of humor in fast-paced, unstructured settings. High emotional intelligence (EQ) and intellectual quotient (IQ); excellent written and oral communication skills. Competitive, tenacious, and results-driven; college degree required, MBA preferred.
