Are you a compassionate, people-oriented person who wants a rewarding opportunity supporting adults with autism or other developmental disabilities? We would love you to join our Supported Living Services team!

As a Supported Living Program Supervisor, you will train and supervise employees who teach and assist clients in building skills necessary to live independently in their own home. You will oversee Supported Living Services that are provided in the individual's home and in varied community settings in Ventura County.

Your daily routine can include:

Facilitating meaningful community connections

Directs SCIP services in accordance with the written service description.

Ensures that management staff are properly trained and supervised.

Responsible to disseminate SCIP procedures and policies inside and outside the agency.

Develop behavior assessment and intervention plans for selected participants.

Maintains services within budget, and arrange the most cost effective living arrangement and billing procedures.

Maintains consistent positive attitude which is imperative to the success of the service delivery.

Mains up to date knowledge on progress and trends in supported living delivery service.

Lead team meetings

If needed, supervise direct support staff and senior staff

Develop creative individual program plans and supervise implementation

Provide direct support, emergency on-call support, and crisis intervention as needed

Training staff to teach independent life skills

Maintain positive relationships with the people served

Increasing helpful, adaptive behaviors

What is Supported Living?

Supported Living Services allow individuals with developmental disabilities to live in their own homes in the community, while developing independent living skills, creating meaningful relationships, and participating as active members in their families and communities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, OR a related human services delivery field and a minimum of five years experience in a human service delivery system that includes two years in a management or supervisory position, or comparable training and experience and an exemplary recommendation in the field of supported living services.

Preference given to candidates with experience in designing and implementing transitional support plans for movement to less restrictive settings.

Willing to do direct care

Maintains on-call responsibility for emergency, by pager. This includes 24-hour on-call availability when scheduled.

Substitute if a senior staff is not available to fill in for CSC who did not make it work.

Able to support clients in their daily routines; including, but not limited to, nutrition, self-care, social, recreational, personal relationships, money management, etc.

Knowledge of positive behavior support practices

Be certified in CPR/First Aid/ and ProAct within the first two weeks of employment

Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and lift 25 lbs.

Successfully pass a background check

Possess a valid California Driver's license and provide current driving record issued by the DMV.

Provide proof of current car insurance

Provide proof of formal documentation of highest level of education completed and/or qualifying certificates

Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
