Overview
Senior- Level Water/Wastewater Project Manager (possible Team Lead based on expertise but must be in Reno) to join our team in Reno, NV. Hybrid work arrangement - work from Reno office 3 days a week.
At Atkins Réalis has a unique opportunity for a Senior-level Water/Wastewater Project Manager and Team Lead with a demonstrated background in delivering water and wastewater projects. This full-time position will involve contributing to project delivery, including planning, evaluation, design, permitting, and implementation for a variety of treatment plants, biosolids, pumping stations, and pipeline for private and municipal clients in the areas of water and wastewater in Reno, NV. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of projects, including PFAS and other emerging contaminants, technology/alternative evaluations, digester improvements, process improvements for water and wastewater treatment plants, water reuse, aquifer storage and recovery, and groundwater supply development.

How will you contribute to the team?
Develop technical engineering documents including reports, specifications, permits, cost estimates, and construction plans.
Develop scope, schedule, and budget and provide support to the marketing team for new pursuits.
Lead engineering investigations and planning work by completing well-defined tasks, including data collection/analysis, calculations, and evaluating feasibility of alternative solutions.
Organize and perform engineering assessments, investigations and planning work.
Perform quality control by checking calculations and reviewing design drawings to maintain high standards in the work produced.
Prepare material for reports, presentations, and permit applications, including gathering information, creating outlines, and/or preparing graphics.
Perform field observations of construction procedures and check performance and conformity with plans and specifications through field inspections.
Lead the design and development of plans and drawings, including development of preliminary layouts through to final drawings.
Contribute to the development of engineering design, specifications, calculations, prepare permit applications and write miscellaneous reports and technical memorandums.
Perform technical and quality control review of study, planning, and design documents.
Coordinate work with project teams including other disciplines as required.
Help mentor junior level staff members.
Uphold engineering ethics and professional standards of conduct.
Work closely with other units of the company to develop marketing and business development strategies to target client and business opportunities in the northern Nevada area.
What will you contribute?
B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical or Environmental Engineering. The typical incumbent has ten to fifteen years of experience in project production and technical professional activities, six of these working as a project manager.
Excellent interpersonal skills and strong technical writing and communications skills with proficiency in public speaking and presentations.
Ability to process paper/electronic documents and utilize computer equipment; ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; ability to visit project sites if necessary. Must plan, prioritize and review project plans and documents, evaluate alternatives, and devise appropriate solutions.
Process, pump station and treatment plant experience are required.
PC skills including Microsoft Office are required. Experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
P.E. license in the state of Nevada is required.
