About this Role
Our client is the market leader in ophthalmic markets, now looking to grow their ultra-precision optics customer market in the US. Our client is a dynamic, fast paced, growing, technical equipment distributor with European roots and influence and is looking for candidates to “own” the responsibility for providing “amazing” customer satisfaction through on-site machine installations and repairs and product support. This individual will be a pioneer on this side of the business, growing a function for this equipment. Skills Profile
SPDT / Diamond Machining, Industrial PC’s, Automation/PLC’s, Fiber Optic Interface, PNOZ Safety Circuits, CNC knowledge, Optical Fabrication Equipment. Do you have experience in the use or service of equipment for use in fabrication of custom contact lenses, molds, or other precision diamond turning? RA’s client might be the right company for you! Qualifications
Technically Sound background in precision machining with a customer service ethic. Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills (interpersonal, phone, and documentation). Proficiency with a variety of drive controls, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems including precision hydrostatic drives, laser marking technology and various other automations. Experienced with diagnostics and troubleshooting sophisticated equipment. Friendly, Eager, and Social – A great front facing representative of the company. Enjoys a fast paced, progressive environment with the ability to multi-task and deal with interruptions. Eager/Willing to travel spontaneously throughout North America to customer sites. Specific Position Duties
Working under general and remote supervision Commission new equipment at customer site to optimal performance Diagnose and troubleshoot machine and process issues remotely Provide field service, diagnostic and repair of equipment on customer’s site Provide technical and process phone support for customers Coordinate parts orders, software support, and other key support needs Train customers on site in general maintenance and operation practices Road Warrior with the love of travel (up to 70% weekday travel in peak times) Accurately and Completely Report and Document all actions Objectives and Accountabilities
