Activities Specialist Position Available in Coastal GA

We are currently seeking: Activity Specialist Overview: Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the Activity program in accordance with current existing federal and state standards as well as establish policies and procedures to assure that the spiritual, emotional, recreational and social needs of each resident are met/maintained on an individual basis. Demonstrates professional growth and development. Uses good judgment. Utilizes patient care supplies/equipment in a fiscally responsible manner. Exhibits positive interpersonal skills. Qualifications: Must be a graduate of a diploma or GED and possess an Activities Directors Certification. Related experience preferred. Must have a basic understanding of the needs of the elderly and have an empathetic approach to illness; a basic knowledge of a variety of activities; ability to give instructions and redirect others; and ability to lead.
