Schedule: Monday- Friday Pay: Home Visit: $56.00 / hour Assessment: $70.00 / hour Meeting: $27.00 / hour Are you looking to make a difference in a child’s life? The role of the Speech/Language Pathologist is to work in partnership with eligible children and their families to receive the rights, procedural safeguards, and services authorized under the State’s Early Intervention system. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Determine Early Intervention services in collaboration with families using the Individualized Family Service Plan. Perform home visits, screenings, assessments, and educational group activities in natural environments while adhering to all Massachusetts Department of Public Health Early Intervention Operational Standards. Attend parent meetings, community case conferences, and transitional activities, providing insight, information, referrals, or advocacy for child and family. Maintain and update all clinical records in Early Intervention Client System. Provide co-treatment capacity consultation to other team members in matters requiring discipline expertise. Prepare for certification as an Early Intervention Specialist within three years of employment. Maintain expertise in Early Childhood Education through attendance at meetings, in-service training, continuing education, or other appropriate educational programs. Provide supervision to students and speech and language pathologist assistants as needed. Maintain assigned productivity level on a monthly basis. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or division director. Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions. Maintain all program and Agency required trainings. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge obtained through attainment of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution. Licensure by the MA Board of Registration in Speech Language Pathology required. Ability to maintain a current copy of all required professional licenses, CPR, first aid, and health records. Experience with feeding, autism, and social communication disorders preferred. Knowledge and skill obtained through at least two years of experience in human services. Skill in communicating and working independently and within a team. A qualifying criminal background check, driving record, and a valid driver’s license are required.
