The Clinical Pharmacist clears, monitors, evaluates, and modifies patient chemotherapy to ensure effective, safe, and economical patient care. Serves as a member of the healthcare team to make therapeutic decisions, such as drug product selection, and drug dosing. Performs research to retrieve and evaluate the best pharmacotherapeutic information available to support provider and nursing teams. Provides education and support to patients/caretakers, and performs other job-related duties as requested. Supports the providers and nurses with clinical care in the oncology infusion center and evaluates all orders to ensure they are appropriate for patient care. Responsibilities and Requirements: Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy with five to seven years of related experience. Must be a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Rhode Island or eligible for state licensure. Successful completion of a residency or Board of Pharmacy Specialty certification highly desirable. Must have strong organizational and communication skills, and working knowledge of computers. Proficiency in the English language required; ability to speak Spanish very helpful. EEO Statement:
